“Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:” (John 11:25). That’s what the Lord Jesus said to Mary, the sister of Lazarus.
And if we truly believe and trust in Him, there should be a true peace in our heart which will also give us a witness deep inside, that if something bad were to happen to us, we will have a future that never ends, in absolute comfort and joy, in the presence of the Lord.
On the other hand, if we don’t have that peace, we don’t have the assurance either that comes from the Holy Spirit of God. If that’s the case, don’t let another moment pass by, but confess your sins before God who hears everything and He will forgive you, as we read in Scripture (“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” (1 John 1:9)), further repent and believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will have a future in the Kingdome of heaven.
